you need to see if thats bumper to bumper or powertrain only. Bumper to bumper then yes go for it. Powertrain...no it should be fine. What will be the deductable?

Right on! Seems like it does make sense to snag the warranty. If anyone in the Bay is wondering--I'm going to purchase at Peninsula Infiniti Redwood City.

I bought my G May 2008 - its an 06, and I got it with 10k miles for 25k. I got extended warranty for an extra $1,500. The warranty was 7 years 70,000 miles, and it started at the mileage I bought the car. I think extended warranty is worth it.

I have an 04 Coupe and got the elite extended warranty with zero deductable. I had 29,000 miles at the time, and it cost me $1385 total. If I had 30,000 miles (one thousand miles more than I had) it would have been close to $500 more with the zero deductable. This is the Infiniti (Nissan) factory warranty which is bumper to bumper for everything except trim items. It also includes road side assistance, rental insurance (for a limited number of days) hotel stay, etc. It is costing me less than $350 a year for four years! I feel this is a bargain. Window motors which go regularly are $800 at the dealership. The CD player which likes to take a crap is well over a grand. Everything on this car is expensive and besides, it's allows trememdous piece of mind. Personally, I would stay away from 3rd party warranty companies.

I've owned wayyyyy too many cars to agree with most people here. However, in your case. You got a deal. It doesn't hurt at all to protect yourself in the case of big breakdowns.

Similar story for me. Got my 4 year elite extended warranty from Infiniti last fall on my '04 coupe for $925 (zero deductible) when I had ~20k on the car. My advice would be to call around and see which dealer will give you the best price. You can negotiate these.

All the prices for the Elite warranties are fixed in the state of Florida. However, you can call out of state to check pricing for a better deal. I was able to get the 4th year at dealer cost and I even got my policy approved after the original warranty had expired for over a year. In addition they waived the $75 fee to inspect the car prior to approval.

Feels good when you drop it off and leave w a brand new car for free.. I wouldnt buy another infiniti without warranty ever. Get it.. trust me it will pay for itself.
+1 One major item will pay for itself many times over.

Caveat emptor. You may get a slightly cheaper price, but usually less coverage, and even if you get full coverage, the process can be time consuming, as you have to first contact the warranty company (or have the dealer fax over estimates) before they will authorize any warranty work on your car. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but just realize what the process requires.
