Door Locks & Factory Warranty

Hi Guys,

I just bought a G35.. it has 56k miles on it. I noticed that the door locks seem to be weak. It works most of the time but every once in a while it doesn't lock. it will go half way.. which is really annoying because I have to check that it's locked each time.

Does the factory warranty cover this for free? If so, is there anything else that I should check while I'm at the dealership?

Thanks in advance.

Did/Does anyone else have this problem?

If it isn't covered by the warranty, is it an easy fix??

should be easy fix if the dealer doesn't cover it under warranty (don't see why it wouldn't be though)
Take apart door panel, check to see if there is enough power hitting the switch, if there is, try regreasing the hinges, also it could just be the motor to the switch is going bad so it is being intermittent for not until it actually dies out.

hope this helps some.
