To Drop, or Not?

I've been thinking alot lately about lowering my 06 DG coupe. I've been looking around on the forum and checking out the different options.

I can't spend a lot of money on it, so im looking at some springs. I also dont want to deal with camber kits or have to fix any problems. I understand that an alignment is necessary. I wouldn't go further than 1 inch.

Is the inch worth it to anyone who has done it? Also, is there anyone who has definately decided they will never drop their car? If so, why?

Haven't dropped it yet for the same reasons....camber kit, alignment, rear spring mount mod. I'm looking at g35 s techs or 350z h techs which aren't as low. True you have to get an alignment but I want to avoid getting a camber kit and doing the spring mount mod. I also don't want to go thru tires faster than usual so Its keeping me from dropping until I find some ppl that have dropped without camber kits and not going thru tires fast. I probably will get wheels and drop at the same time.

Just dont waste your money and brain cells thinking about it

its only worth it when you have it with less than a finger gap in the wheel wells

After literally months of research and asking people on the driver forum I decided to go with the 350Z htechs on my G.
I came to this conclusion because I only wanted a moderate drop (less than 1") and not worry about camber kits.
Since I wasn't going to track my car I couldn't justify spending the large amount of money on coilovers.
Most people who install the s or h techs are still in oem spec. Yes the camber will be more agressive but by a very minimal amount.
I think wheel spacers are a must as well.

i was initially fonna drop on the h techs but it wasnt worth dropping it if the drop is barely noticeable. the z h techs drop a little more but dont sit even.
ur car looks nice though! im going with 25mm spacers all around.

drop the car more!

Good call on the spacers. Yeah after the drop I found it wasn't even. It's not really noticeable visually but if you're like me and go over your car with a fine tooth comb you eventually figure out it sits slighty uneven.

im dropped on Z htechs but i purchased spc camber and toe kit off ebay for like 160BIN. go for a nice drop and just spend the money on the camber kit.with 350z htechs, you can get your rear camber back in with the kit and front will only be out .2 degrees which is not going to show any tire wear to the naked eye
