I just finished up oil consumption engine swap a month ago.
I'm going by memory here, but the owners manual says the requirement is to follow the maintence guide, but the guide's requirement says to follow the owner's manual... But after you look past that, if I remember correctly, the maintenance guide presents two schedules, but says it is recommended to follow one of the schedules. There is explicit legal meaning in what that means... (Can you tell I work with attorneys everyday on legal interpretations of requirements?) Essentially, not following either schedule would be satisfying the maintence requirement from the owners manual and maintenance guide, because it says you "should" follow the schedule, which legally means following the schedule was not mandatory.
Now I'm not recommending you "neglect" your cars, but I'm just illustrating that they actually wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on simply because you don't have receipts. Besides, what would receipts prove? That you bought oil? Would it show the oil was actually used? Would it show which car it was used in? Receipt wouldn't prove anything. And the owners manual is explicit in saying you don't have to take your car to Infiniti for regular service.

I had aftermarket intake and spacer.. that doesnt have anything to do with an oil consumption problem. If they try to pull that.. tell them BS!!!
They dont need to tear your engine apart.. If you have oil consumption.. the tech will know it within like 10 min. Do you have your maint records? All my oil changed were done around 2000 miles so I didn't have an issue w that. Your mods shouldnt be a problem. If they deny your oil consumption.. take it to another shop and have them look at it and give you something showing whats wrong w your car. Then take it to infiniti and refuse to leave until they take your car, give u a loaner, and put a new engine in.
They are hard to deal w/ when 10,000 is needed for the warranty to replace ur engine. Prepare yourself. If you need help w anything or advice.. PM me. I can tell you how to handle it.

the 1 thing you do to your car bolt on wise that will keep you from getting an engine is HFC's or Test pipes take them the **** off. Thats all i have to say
I have put tons of these engines in under warranty and thats the only thing i care about and the only thing the factory cares about.

I made my decision today after calling the Infiniti dealer and being told it was $50, then tried twice to get the Nissan service department on the line. Both times no one answered the call. Guess they don't need my $.
The cheapest option at Scottsdale was around $75 plus tax. Power Nissan was like $40 and they didn't do it right; so I was dripping oil all the way home. And when I took it back they said it was just spilled oil. I hate when dealerships lie.
I think I'll try ABC Nissan next. Just work my way up to Peoria.
