Halogen Hi/Fog to HID Conversion

I am thinking about getting an HID kit to replace the HI/Fog Halogen on my 04 6MT Coupe. Has anyone done this before? Also which HID do I go with H4(9003); H13(9008); 9007 Hi /Low.... what is the difference???

Thanks.

This is not a good idea.. You will cause heavy amounts of glare to on comming traffic. Very dangerous.

Stock is H4 I believe.

The bulb size is H4 for the fog/high beam. Wouldn't suggest to put HIDs there because it was cause a lot of glare since the reflectors aren't for HIDs.

^ to be honest I have had that setup the first week I got my car back then. See how much I've drove my car (my sig), I never once got complain on the HID fog. With my experience, I would recommend you get the one with HID + little H3 for high beam. Don't get the bulk a$$ mechanical ones, won't last you that long + extra parts to setup.

I wouldn't recommend it as the lower reflector is not meant for HID's... HID's are going to create excessive glare for oncoming driver's and is just plain inconsiderate.

Just go with some 5000k standard H4 bulbs and you'll be good to go...

vhtran.. I got 131K on my g..

I don't want to get technical with this, but I guess I have to. H4 HID bulbs have their own extra reflector on the bottom to block the beam bounce to the bottom of the housing reflector due to the bottom reflector bounce the beam up ward to make high beam. This is the bulb I'd recommend:

^^... h4 bulbs come with that shield standard... my old solara ran h4s and when I put hids in them they came with the shield.

you can get hids almost anywhere nowadays..

Search man. (the picture shown above is dual filament- meaning it has the hids for lows and the mini halogen bulb is for the highs).
That's the one you'll need.
