Thumbs up Choice of Transmission or Color Paint. Which one?

When you're buying your G, which options were you first looking for?

A choice of,
Color Paint
or
6spd/auto transmission?

Or maybe both if you're lucky.

I personally picked a 6mt no matter what color is the car.
Maybe that's because I was aiming for a used one.

6MT comes first, then interior color, then exterior color. All of them are still really big factors though.

For me it had to be an AT.
Second, I wanted black, but fell for this Twilight Blue instead!
I've always owned a stick for the past 30 years.
After I got my 5AT Coupe I sold my last 5MT.

There's absolutely no reason why you can't have both if you're patient and looking for a car that is fairly common such as a G35(assuming the manufacturer makes the car that you want in a manual tranny).

Wait it out until you find what you're looking for. Personally.. I would never even consider buying any vehicle that wasn't equipped with a manual transmission... so it's never even a thought.

I saw looking for an 6MT in white or black with no spoiler and ended up with an IP 2004 6MT with no spoiler, I was lucky to have found it.
The transmission came first though because I wanted the manual with brembos

transmission is most important. The G looks good in all colors, but if you purchase the wrong transmission, you will never be happy with the ride.

WOW!!! That comment takes me back to when I was 18 years old!!!
I'm not knocking your comment, but I remember when I was 18 and driving a manual 1969 Mach 1 thinking I would NEVER consider a car with less than 8 cylinders AND had more that two doors!!!

Since then, I've owned a freaking Taurus Station Wagon!!!!
Anyways, we've finally got back into fun cars!!

Wait til the kiddies come along!!!!

I remember when I was rocking a 87 Turbo T'bird and my 8 month pregnant wife called me and said 'If I have to push in this #&(*@! clutch one more time!!!!' Hence, the 1990 Taurus Wagon

Sorry for the stole down memory lane!
