The idea was alright, but the process needed improvements to get the right results.

My suggestion is to do it over again, but take your time and make sure the surface is prepped properly in an area with no trash in the air.

You guys realize all this arguing is over an engine cover. If chord likes it then who cares if he puts it on its his car. IMO i think the yellow and black theme is a cool idea and I think chord should do to his car what he wants. No matter what anyone else thinks.

Chord, I give you kudos for making the attemp, but i would be lying to you if i said it looked good. I just hate to see such a nice car get slapped with these "panel paint mods". I see it way to often in the ricer crowd. Ill leave it at that. Ill leave your thread now

noone on here is here to tear people down by calling their work sh!itty we are just being honest and EVERYONE that left a negative comment wouldnt put that engine cover on their car and they figure that he shouldnt either we are not honda civic guys where anything goes, we want all G's to look in tip top shape. I give the guy a for the attempt but if i were him i wouldnt have even posted it up, because by posting up a picture your representing your work and people are going to give their opinion.

Both of you guys have a point and Hotel is right that some opinions you don't necessarily want to hear however, we can be a little more civil with our opinions. If you don't like it maybe the phrase "not my cup of tea" could be better than "don't put it on".

I can make my opinion on it. Right now it looks too yellow for me but if you have pics of it in the engine bay then that might add some more black to the overall scheme and might look nicer.

Oh BTW, arguments on the internet make everyone look like losers! Back on topic please!

honestly, if ALL youre going to do is come in here and tear down what im doing, then dont post at all. i dont want to hear your opinion.

what it looks like on the car. but ive already sanded it down better and put a few coats of primer on everything. i didnt really like how it turned out. i thought design was decent at best, and actual paint job was defnitely not good. but i didnt expect it to be. this is a learning experience for me. Im painting it satin black witha yellow mt fuji. ill post pics every now and then but hotelcrazy please stay out of this thread im sick of you

ladies and kind gentlemen, not to offend any of you lovely folks but for me I do not care for any cosmetic downgrades. Unless tastefull. But I am all about driving not impressing. But then I hate cheap sounding aftermarket exhausts too. I am not cool sorry. I am young but my soul is old. I will make a cosmetically downgraded car look incredibly slow on the track though so paint it up nice, so it will look good in last place. Sorry for the off topic rant, but this is boring..
