Thanks for the help, yeah I thought about painting them, but how big was the job, what type of paint and is there step by step instructions anywhere?

Put them in a bong and put the bic on em. We in Cali get pulled over for exhaust, smoked lights, you name it. Especially now the economy is bad people are getting pulled over for farting. I will never become a mod victim again....stock or stealth mods only. your state is next.

i've done both - painted and overlays.

painted on my previous car a few years ago with VHT NiteShades - learn all about the process here.

just did overlays last weekend on my G35 - more about that here.

pros and cons to both. painting was cheaper and the process was technically easier imo...but removing the lights was a PITA. overlays will prob last longer and are removable if you need to for some reason. list goes on....

i'd do overlays again if i had to - instead of painting.

bats ftw! but be careful, the install is not 'easy'. plan at least 3 to 4 hours and a lot of patience!

I'm just not a big fan of the blackout tail lights, am I the only one that feels that way?
No offense to anyone that has it, but it makes the G look cheap...

Dont try doing the overlays yourself if its your first time.. You'll waste your time and money.
