how major are the differences between the 04+

Ive been looking into buying a G35 coupe, I found a 04 6MT with 45k miles, for $17500 with every option including brembos and GPS, black on black, but as I start to research the G35 on wikipedia and such, I am finding the G35 went through a major refresher in 05. how major are the differences, would I be better off looking for a 05+? Do the brembos have as many issues as im reading? how big are the differences in the interior guages, and exterior styling?
i am even reading (wiki) that the suspension is sport tuned and has LSD starting in 05, is it really noticeable does pre-05 not have LSD?
any info would be nice...or guide me to a thread that would be better suited for this question

another question, can navi be added to an 05+ that doesnt have it? i dont want navi to be a deciding factor in my choice if I can simply add it at the dealership, i mean the stock navi not a windshield suction cup device

I would go with the 04. The brembos aren't bad. Just try to find some good ceramic pads like Hawks or Axxis.

The 05 has more HP but less TQ. Its called the Rev up motor. There has been a lot of problems with oil consumption on the rev up motors.

Search the forum and you'll get plenty of info.

Get an 05 or 06. Check out thread on the interior. The 05 has better fit and finish and looks nicer (in my opinion). The 2006 has much improved projector headlights, bluetooth, revised spoiler/tail lights, slightly more aggressive body work changes (front bumper).
Navigation in 2006 has upgraded graphics as compared with earlier versions. You should be able to find a nice, clean 2005 with navigation w/less than 40k miles for no more than 18-18.5..maybe less. Good luck!

I was in the same boat about 2 months ago, I went with the 05!

I was comparing both and the interior is a lot nicer on the 05, specially the gauges. 05 you can play mp3 cds also. driver and pass. have more options for power seats.

05 also comes with 19s, and 18 more hp.

thats what i can remember on the top of my head.

Search the forums, soo much info i found on here before i bought one.

thanks for all the info, and not bashing me for not searching pages of threads, i need to make a decision soon, is the suspension tuned better "sportier" in the 05? i found a 05 with all the options except NAVI for 18k, is this something that can be added in the future from the stealership? i cant afford an 06.

are the 03-04 brembro brakes better then the 05-06 6MT brakes?
heres the car im looking at buying

thanks for all the advice...

Suspension should be the same (I think-im pretty positive). That car looks nice. Interior and exterior look good. quite a bit of swirling on the paint in one of those pictures, but it probably just needs a nice polishing/waxing. Brakes are going to be basically the same. You just wont get to tell people you have "BREMBO" brakes. Performance should be equal though. Car looks good though!
