All with 2004 6mt experiencing brake problems
I purchased my car 10/04 w/ the Brembo brakes. I've been experiencing this annoying as hell high pitch sound while driving....It'll come on usually when i'm coasting or at low speeds...at least thats when I hear it. I called the dealer and the service rep told me if my car has the upgraded brakes I wouldn't be covered under warranty. I called Infiniti Consumer affairs 800 662-6200...rep there told me my car is not one of those affected by the brake problem. really? I was told an Infiniti agt would call me back to discuss my problem.
I'm sure there are a lot of others experiencing my same problem. Please share what you guys have done to resolve this problem w/ our car.
Looking to hear back from those being affected or those w/ more info on this growing problem....please post comments and advice. Thanx

This topic comes up a lot. Seems like the answer is to:
1. bed your brakes properly (the dealer probably didn't do it correctly)
2. wash your car, especially the rotors, frequently (brake dust buildup causes sqealling)
The squealing problem is common with these performance brakes.

Vic,
Go out to a closed area and drive your car up to about 45 or 50 and stomp on the brakes...that'll fix it...trust me...I know
2 G or NOT 2 G, there is no question!

I'll see what happens when I go there and have it checked out.
