Here is a link to a cheats page that gives you some background on what cars you get and when.

I just won the Coupe yesterday. It kicks a$$. The only thing I hate about the game is that you have to rice out your car to get full points. So I did that on the Mazda Miata I have, and pretty much kept my Coupe as clean as possible. But the coupe is very quick! I have it going 0-60 in 3.44 seconds according to the Dyno.

Yea I noticed that. The AWD handle better. What are you using for your career car... I have a Civic

You have to go hunt down a graphics shop - it will have a red streetlight in front of it, and shows up as a red dot on the map. Here's one: http://pc.cheats.it/Need-for-Speed-U...ap-Cheats.html

I'm running a 240SX that's tuned to hit 0-60 in just over 2 seconds. I agree that the G isn't that great in this game. Also, the stock exhaust note sounds off.

Not to be a stickler but just to clarify, we're talking about "Need For Speed *Underground* 2" here. "Need For Speed 2" came out many many years ago (and is extremely crude looking by modern standards), and much more recently "Need For Speed *Hot Pursuit* 2". Underground 2 is the first of the NFS games to feature the G Coupe, although Underground 1 did have the 350Z.

The NFS series release order, IIRC, was:

Need For Speed
Need For Speed 2
Need For Speed 3
Need For Speed High Stakes (still one of my favorites)
Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2
Need For Speed Underground
Need For Speed Underground 2

EA Games also produced "Motor City Online", a failed online multiplayer game that pretty much sucked IMHO.

It's sad, but you will find the G35 pretty much useless in Online racing. It simply cannot hang with a number of other cars once tweaked. I used the G35 in single player and enjoyed it, but had to drop it for online racing. Believe it or not the corolla is the hottest car online. It can be tweaked to be one of if not the fastest car, but the big thing is it's handling. It can out corner any car in the game. For drag racing the 240SX is the best. The corolla is getting the rep as the "Noob" car online. Many will not race against one. All the stat leaders race corollas.
