I don't really understand the whole nissan skyline thing. So the G35 .. is it skyline 350GT or skyline V35???

 

It's a Skyline 350GT - V generation

Every Skyline generation has its own letter. If you go to www.japanparts.com and click on Nissan, you'll see various Skylines with different generation symbols.

The GT-R series will have the "R" prefix and a number.

I believe they called it a V series this time is because of the VQ35DE engine. The old R34 Skyline GT-R was based on the RB26DETT engine and therefore signified the chassis with an R.

I think the V35 is the sedan and the CPV35 is the coupe
