ignored the gas light and went on till it was exactly at the empty mark and I had 2 gallons left.

 

from what i found out online, g35s take up to 20 gallons in their tank. well... my coupe only takes 13 gallons. isn't 20 gallons little high???

 

I get about 30-35 miles after the gas light turns on..

 

i dunno how u guys are only filling 15 16 gallons wen the light turns on... when my gas light turns on im throwing in 18 19 gallons in...

 

i drove with the light on for about 40 miles and i took 17 gallons to fill it up

sooo the light came on with about 4-5 gallons left

 

everytime the light comes on I push it to 40 miles, depending on how heavy my foot is. =) but then it take a little over 17 gallons. not bad...but i do wanna see what the limit is, I used to run out of gas in my Integra ALL the time.

 

Its a fact that we have 20 gallon tanks, it might be the fact that your shutter valve because of the fact that some of the gas tanks have that problem with filling up. Our gas tanks have two compartments and sometimes one side will fill up but not the other, which causes you to only fill up with 15 gallons or less. There's a bulletin about that somewhere. I had to get mine fixed because of that.

I usually never let my gas tank go lower than a 1/4, so not too sure how much gas is left after the light turns on.

 

Dont be a tool! Put gas (good gas 91 or better!)in your ride before the lite
comes on!!i run a service center,replacing fuel pumps/injectors & related
fuel items is costly!trust me when i say your tank(no matter how clean
you think it is )has **** in it!!!

Theres aprox 3-5 gallons left whene light appears ..

 

If I fill up right after the gas light comes on, I put in about 16 gallons. And the Nav screen will display ~60 miles to empty.

 

so what is the answer?!?!?!? when the light comes on I have ......miles left?

as an update I had the dealer replace my fuel level sensor, since then its been coming on at about 3-4 gal left instead of the 5-6 I was getting before

 

Reminds me of that seinfeld episode when kramer wanted to know how far he could go after the light came on, too funny!
