I got my G about 3mos ago and one the first things I did myself was change to a K&N filter and replaced the in cabin filter. I'm kinda glad I did, but geeze if I had that gunk I would've seriously questioned the maintenance of the car.

I've found Amazon and Ebay much cheaper than local parts places for the K&N.

Paper flows very well and filters very well when CLEAN. When the paper filter gets dirty, flow goes down pretty dramatically. (as noticed)

I put in my stock box and threw in a filter from a Z I had lying around. Was just okay. The next day, I put in a clean K&N and the difference was noticable. Then I put in a clean oem filter. Results were similar to the K&N.

Yeah, I've been noticing that the filter does get dirty pretty quick, Im guessing that it has to do with extra opening the filter box, lets all the debri come in from driving on the highway.

How someone can take care of the outside of their cars and not be concerned
with how it runs is beyond me....

maybe he doesnt drive sprited enough to notice the difference but I agree with you on how people can take care of the outside and not make sure the engine is running fine.

Just buy a K&N and clean it whenever you want.

My apologies if you have some type of phyiscal disability, but aside from that, anyone can replace the filter themselves.
