Is this safe to do this or not?

I've searched a bit and there are no definite answers.
my stock hids (2006 coupe so I have projectors) are adequate but I want to upgrade and get a 55 watt hid kit.
I was researching and haven't been able to find if these are safe for the projectors/housing: if heat may melt anything?

I've used 55 watt kits in my previous cars with no issues, but I want to be certain if it's okay to run them in these cars or not.

thank you in advance.

I wasn't asking for a link as to where I can get them. I know where I can get a set.
im asking if it's safe. like it is posted in my title of the thread.
I know it causes more heat, and the bulb is slightly longer, but that is why I want to know if anyone's run them with any issues.

thanks.

e_k upgraded to 50w ballasts on his first coupe. Talk to him about it. 50w may be enough, considering stock is 35w.

Or if you have any other specific lighting questions, ask IvoryGT.

Don't know if you're trying to be a smartass vhtran or what, but as stated in my original post. I don't want to risk damaging my housings.
I PMed e_k, hope I get a response from him.
Thanks e1sk8er4ever

Redlude and IvoryGT are the resident lighting experts among others. Just the 2 that came to mind.

I'm not a nub.
Why I would want higher wattage is for brightness but I'm also researching to see if it's worth the money.
It's all about preference.

Hey, I ordered a 55 watt kit and when I went to install it the plugs didn't match.
So I called the shop that I got it from and he said that they do not make a upgrade plug and play kit for our cars, he said that we have to cut our factory harness and wire it up.
I was like "not happening".
