I was just wondering if this can or has been done. I was looking at aftermarket HID kits. I was wondering if HID's could be placed where the fog lights are, so then there would be dual HID's. Can this be done or has it already? Is this mod a lot of work?

HIDs are too hot and bright to just put in place in the stock reflector but a handful of people have retrofitted projectors into the fog position.

 

I dunno much about lighting but when I have my HID's on the housing is a hell of a lot cooler than when I have my halogen fog lights on. AFAIK that holds true for all HID's since they use less energy than halogens.
