coolant leak...

so i just put in a motordyne 5/16" spacer with the coolant control valve. My problem when re assembling the car after install was that there was a leak on the coolant valve from where I cut the hose to insert the ccv and the clamps were not on tight enough. this was easy to notice because after starting up the car I soon saw smoke and the smell of burning coolant as it leaked onto the engine . I fixed this right away by adding more tephlon pipeing tape to the threads on the valve and making sure the clamps were on tight. no more leak and its all good. my only concern is that I may have damaged something by letting some coolant leak out of the hoses. Is iths a problem I should worry about, and do I need to add more coolant to replace the lost amount? or could there be a problem with air bubbles in the hose now? I am afraid to drive the car more than needed in fear of overheating or burning something. also when I drive very slowly and listen close enough while making a sharp turn I can hear fluid swashing arround inside the car. Could this be a less than full coolant tank that now has air space due to lost coolant and the fluid is swashing arround inside the resovuar?

sorry for all the noobie questions. Just concerned and dont want to damage the car, better to be safe than sorry i guess.

You're fine, coolant probably dripped onto the exhaust manifolds which is harmless. Doubt you will have any overheating issues either.
