Some weight reduction
My reduction plan started, and finished, with the options list. Base model which deleted the sunroof, Bose stereo, etc. I can't believe that was over five years ago already. Good luck with reducing your cars weight a bit. I agree that your safety is not worth a few pounds. Keep the stock seats and built in side air bags.

At one point I removed every single part from the car that I could and did a run down a long straight country road. I mean, I ever removed the sound deadening, the radio, all seats, gutted the trunk, rear speakers ALL OF IT.
The car pulled in 4th like it does in 2nd normally. I was chirping 3rd no problem.
Sooo fast.

Unless you do the whole car in cf, it really won't do much. The hood is alu, so pretty light really. You'd have to redo every panel, etc. Anything else is really cosmetic, unless you get cf shafts, etc.

as for seats that is where alot of weight will be lost try seibon, they have a nice set and i beleive they weigh only about 3lbs/seat,stock weight about 80lbs per..as for a more advanced weight red. try seibon for doors, the cf doors weigh only 16lbs,stock weigh about 94lbs/door. front and rear aluminum brackets weight about 30lbs per.spare tire removal about 20-25lbs..theres alot you can do but it isnt cheap, lighter wheels found at wedshttp://www.carbonfibergear.com/weds-...n-fiber-wheel/.hope this helps
