G35 coupe seat issues.
G35 coupe seat issues.
Had the car for 2 weeks and love it. My biggest issue\gripe is the seats and how they pinch you in at the upper back\lat area. Now Im not that big of a dude 6ft. 2bills and seam to have problems with my upper back getting pinched in for lack of a better description. I have driven cars with agressive seats
but never had a seat which seams to narrow for me. the rest of the seat is fantastic from a comfort point of view. Has anyone else noticed this and had issues? Will it loosen up? I'm concerned because where it pinches I can feel a hard plastic frame like thing(inside driver seat) right next to where your manual lower back ajustment is. Looking for other users thoughts? thanks?

Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
yeah man reduce the lumbar thing, couple other people were griping about it, someone suggested to put a rolled up towel behind your lower back

Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
I had the pinched back thing and I'm same size/weight as you...I got used to it after a while though (or maybe it got used to me) and it doesn't bother me any more...you may just want to give it some time.
Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
sounds like you no what I'm talking about. I'm glad it seemed to loosen up for you.I can feel a hard plastic frame inside the seat which I assume is to keep seat rigid. How long/many miles do it take for you to see an improvement in comport?
Lumbar adj. does not effect this uncomfort...thanks

Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
For me, I have about 1500 miles on mine now, and I got it about a month ago. It bothered me the first 2 weeks and has gotten steadily better since then. Like I said though, I don't know if the seat itself changed or if I just got used to it.
Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
chances are that your back has adjusted to the seat...1500 miles in 1 month is alot of seat-time

Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
anyone elseout thier experiencing the same issue? Man o man I love this car but this back seat frame which lines the inside of the seat is really discomforting. This hard piece inside of seat Im talkin about seams to only be on the right arm's side vs. both sides of seats. I plan on talking to the dealer about this to see if anything can be done. Really driving me crazy....Any others out their exp. seat issues?
Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
I have the same issue. Love the car but the seat thing is annoying. My issue may be more because I am fat than anything else, at least that is what my wife says. The hard plastic feel in the seat doesn't sound right to me, though. Even though I have had back problems with the seat (which I got used to), I have never felt something that felt hard or plastic in the seat itself.
Re: G35 coupe seat issues.
rocketfan, feel the sides of the seat and you will see what Im talking about. The seats seam vary narrow right accross high back area. I wish these seats you could adjust width of back like others Ive seen. Again Im about a 44 jacket size (5-11, 200lbs) and "is" a real issue and Ive got to believe their are others out thier bigger than I am that see this discomfort. By the way unless somenow knows of a diet that will reduce my ribcage size, it aint goint to help my fat *** with this issue Im talking about. Thanks...
