Hahaha!

No, no heels here.

I do wear a size 13 shoe--I wonder if that rocking action is more traumatic.

I don't like the rubber mats. I think next time around I will Gorrila Glue a square of plastic onto the carpeted mats where my heel hits.

My dealer had some custom mat protectors for about $80 but I made my own for a lot less from one of these:

Floor mat protectors? Isn't that kinda like getting a car cover for your car cover?

On my second set of mats. Driver's side front mat on the original set was pretty degraded around 28-30K miles. The current mats have about 25K miles on them and they're in much better shape. Haven't really changed my usual type of shoes . . .
Maybe it's less stop & go driving. The first set was used mostly in CA, second set in AZ.

switched mine to all-season when i first got the car new, and after 35k miles, still looks brand new. not sure why some of you are getting so much wear on your mats, all season or regular

my dad and I do the same thing with our cars, he much worse than I...You can try to get round heeled shoes (like racing style shoes by adidas, puma or piloti). Also can you try to seek out one of these aluminum heel plates, they might be a little rice-ish but they'll at least save your next set of new floor mats.

Momo design:

Ebay deal

and if that doesnt work there are always these

I live in CT so I put rubber mats in the winter because of all the snow and sand etc. At 36k I don't have much wear yet. BTW I have tan mats and I lift my heel off the ground when pressing down my clutch, just a habit.

I've eaten two holes in my driver's side mat as well. I'm pretty sure it's because of my dress shoes. Most dress shoes have a hard rubber heel and I commute to work, so all the clutch and pedal action have literally eaten a hole through both the carpet AND rubber underneath it just from my shoes!!

I do'nt really want to get weathertech mats, does anyone know a good place to get the OEM looking ones for cheap?
