Track Day Report
Track Day Report
OK, just did a track day at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. I would like to report to all the G35 enthusiasts out there that the car was AWESOME!!
I ran on a Ferrari track day and I can tell you that I passed a fair number of them. The balance of the car was outstanding and I could easily get the car to oversteer with the throttle without too much understeer while braking and turning in to the corners.
The brakes worked all day with very little sign of fade (though there was some braking from 120mph in turn 2) and the sound and power was definately very high points. I was a bit surprised on how well the car worked at speed. The stock package is without a doubt very well sorted.
I was able to distance myself from a F355 challenge car near the end of the day, where earlier I couldn't keep up with him (I discovered I had the ASR on when I returned to the pits that session). I was also able to hound a 250 GT everywhere except the straight, the brakes helped in that pursuit until he got tierd of seeing me in his mirrors and after 3 laps finally let me by, that was cool.
Anyway, all of you coupe owners, should get to a track day ASAP, you will be very impressed on how your little car works at speed. Its AWESOME baby!

Re: Track Day Report
Awesome story bro! That's got to be nice to hang with some quarter-million dollar cars .
Are you driving a 5AT or 6MT?

Re: Track Day Report
6-spd, Brembos, 18's and no Mods.
Transmission was awesome. Went from 5th to 2nd once, but realized it before letting out the clutch.
What a blast it was! Covered nearly 50 laps and 118 miles. I was going to bring my Viper, but thought I could hang the G35 out further without worries. How right I was.
