Before you put the seat in your G coupe, or any car, get this.

I have one.

Re: Coupe and a baby?

It must be fate - I was at Home Depot. And, in the parking lot was a Diamond Graphite 6MT Coupe with a baby seat. It looked too good. I think I have to get the coupe. I don't cart the baby around too much, and my wife has an SUV. So, I think it'll be worth the inconvenience.

Gotta wait for the '05, though. I want those 19 inch wheels that will come with the Sport Package!

Re: Coupe and a baby?

Once the baby seat is in place, it is not too bad. I have been moving child seats between the family car and the coupe and it is difficult to clip the tether to the anchor. I have to unlatch the back seat to do this. Kind of a pain, but I would not trade the bit of pain for all the gain. Get the coupe, I don't think you will regret it.

Re: Coupe and a baby?

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. I was set on getting the sedan. I had even checked out a couple of dealerships. Then on a road trip a coupe drove by us. I looked over at my wife and said, "We're getting one of those." End of story.

Re: Coupe and a baby?

My son who was 5 when I got the car still sits in a car seat/booster seat. No problems fitting and having enough room.

Infiniti list of baby seats

Infiniti has a list of baby seats that fit the G35 Coupe on their web site. Here's the URL

Don't settle for anything, get what you want. I was in the same situation once, and I went with the coupe. Another member once told me that "if it takes a little effort, it’s worth it." As for the car-seat, I went with the Combi brand (Japanese company). Combi makes excellent baby products, very compact. I initially wanted to get the OPUS infant car-seat made by graco, the biggest car-seat there was, but it looked crappy. Combi makes the second or third largest seat and the styling was excellent. I wanted something that we could use for a long time, the infant car seat is easier to take in and out. With the Combi, I can use my car seat till she can walk. The combi was also the only brand that had a nice enough stroller that could fit in the trunk. Believe me, I tried a lot of strollers but the combi was the best fit with enough room for everything else.

I have a couple of videos for those who want to see how easy it is to put in the car seat.

Although it does get a little tight for the passenger with the rear facing infant car seat, however, my wife does not mind. In fact, I am quite impressed with the space inside the car that we always take the G on long trips.
