Hey all, I was just wondering how many of you use your G as a daily driver. As for me I drive about 90 miles daily to and from work ( the best part is that is all curves... Santa Cruz mountains). But I was tossing the idea around whether to trade up for say a WRX STI. Any opinions would be helpful.

 

Don't use the G. Work in construction so I use my '95 Prelude.

Well, my first choice was the for the STi... until my parents up'ed the amount of money I can spend on a car. The G then became top priority.

The STi is a great car, performance wise. My friend owns a black/black with gold rims '04 STi. It's a speed demon. The speedometer is relentless. From 80 up, the meter never stops. However, I think for looks, it's a bit too pricey. When I sat in the car, it doesn't feel like he got what was worth of the 30k. To me, it lacks class and unique qualities. It kinda feels like another ricer with it's hood scoop and huge airplane wing it has in the back. It doesn't have the luxury and comforts as we do. The performance for our car is awesome also. Granted the driver, our cars are quite formidable. It's just that damn turbo it has.

Anyways, do your research on the '05. A lot of changes took place. Color emblem changes, new AYC I think..., radio is now standard. These are just a few to mention.

My coupe is a daily driver.Supercharged it 4000 miles ago.I have 30,000 miles already and its been a year & a half since I purchased it.

Daily driver.

20,000 miles and I bought it last April.

 

Usually only drive it to work (70 mile round trip) on Monday, Friday, and Saturday (if I have to work) to keep the miles down. Other days I drive the commuter Intrepid R/T. Car was new April 2003, have 19,600 miles on it so far. Thinking of buying a winter beater once the snow starts to fall.

What elussive said!! lucidazn , who is your friend with the Sti? Does he live on LI? Cause my friend has a Black with gold rims and he said he knows someone with a G35 and I never saw him. Just wondering...
