Ever Used Your 24 Hour Roadside Assistance?
Ever Used Your 24 Hour Roadside Assistance?
Ok, so yesterday, me and a few friends of mine decide to go find a place to race for fun. I line up 2 race my boy's STI. We went at it 2 times and each time I had the better launch and took off first, but he would kill me at the end by 1 1/2 - 2 cars. We decided to run 1 more time b4 we head home. As we took off, I had him by 1 car and slammed it into 2nd,then 3rd, all a sudden when i slammed it into 3rd my cluth didnt come back up so i flipped my hazards and pulled over. They all rush to me and see what was the problem. I called the roadside assistance and told them i was just cruising around and all a sudden my clutch wus acting up and that i was stuck in the middle of no where, pitch black! They told me it was going to be about 1 1/2 hrs so we waited, and waited. I called about 1AM and since the call it was almost 3,I called them again and they said it was going to be another 35 minutes. So we waited and decided to get some food and left the car there, by the time we got back, it was 4AM and the tow truck still didn't arrive. I was so heated cause all my friends had to work the next day and needed some sleep but they didn't wanna leave me there. We pushed the car down the street into the opening and then after my last call, I cursed them out and they came up with a excuse saying another car needed help. Im like why didn't you send out another one and call me to let me know. So about 4:30am, that mother ****er finally arrived with his flat bed. Get This, when he chained up my car and pulled it up, it was going sideways up and my front passenger wheel ate the metal rail and he scratched my whole wheel. I was going crazy and everyone had to calm me down, but he did agree to pay for the damage. Sorry so long people! anyway,Did anyone ever use ths roadside Asst.? and if so, did it take hrs???

Wow, that's unbelievable. I would call Infiniti Consumer Affairs if I were you. When I had 2,250 miles on the car, I spun out and f-ed up my left rear axle rod. Anyways, I called Infiniti Roadside Assistance and my tow truck arrived in a brisk 20 minutes, and he said he even would have been here earlier but he initially went to the wrong neighborhood by mistake. It was a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when it happened.
The tow truck driver had a flatbed (as I specified with Roadside Assistance) and loaded my car nicely...he even had wooden platforms for the front tires to lift up the front a bit just in case the front bumper might scrape while bringing the car up onto the platform.
The way Roadside Assistance works is, they get the call from you. Then Infiniti Roadside Assistance (let's say IRA from now on) calls AAA and AAA calls the closest towing service in your area. When I was on the phone with IRA, I asked them their average response time and the phone rep said their average time is no longer than 30 minutes for the tow truck to reach you.
I think what happened was that the towing company that was used to tow your car was a very crappy one and they were being dicks...in other words it was out of IRA's hands. =(

Re: Ever Used Your 24 Hour Roadside Assistance?
Infiniti roadside is godawful.
I had an early morning accident about 4 months ago. Needless to say, I simply should have accepted the free California road assistance. First off, the laady on the other end of the line could not figure out where the hell I was. Im like.....look lady I am on the 170 FWY southbound south of Roscoe by about a mile or North of Victory by about 1 mile. It is in North Hollywood....I suppose some might call it Van Nuys. She says "oh, is that near Glendale". I say no, it is not near f-ing Glendale. I told you EXACTLY where it is. After this exchage, of course the first tow truck cannot find me. I call back after an hour and instead of infiniti roadside fixing the mess, they have me talk to the tow truck operator whom I wind up hangin up on after a shouting match. Oh, yeah, there is no damm way he could miss it since 25 other cars hit the same object I did so there was a whole line of cars on the side of the road. Finally after like 3 hours, they send a tow truck from Reseda which is like 10 miles from where I was. I have not one clue how they operate their business, but for those of you who live in SF Valley, you know that N. Hollywood, Van Nuys, and Sun Valley(all within 1-2 miles from where I was stopped) have like at least 1,000 towing operators and repair shops.
I hate Infiniti roadside and if they were the determining factor, I would advise no one to buy an Infiniti.
