Hey guys,

I hooked up my UpRev Cipher today to my car just to mess around.. haven't used it yet... and I scanned for any codes being thrown by the ECU, and P0455, EVAP Control System came up.

Now I don't have a SES light/ CEL light, or anything like that appearing on my dash, does that mean I'm good?

 

Check your gas cap, fuel system has air leak, not getting enough vaccum. Nothing to worry about.

 

you are fine, clear the code and forget about it.

This is called a "pending" code. If it keeps happening your CEL will illuminate.

 

Weird, so basically it only goes on if i'm traveling at highway speeds...

Just went on a trip.. and it was pretty much on after about 40-50km. The entire trip back from Saskatoon it was on and would turn off once I turned the car off and back on (or filled up the gas). Might just need a new gas cap... though now that i've been driving in the city again, it hasn't came on at all...

Kind of weird if you ask me.. o.O.
