i see that lots of people post that they just ordered their g35 but is the norm? i mean are people being able to to walk ins and drive outs?

 

Ya it's possible to walk and and drive out. It's easier if you want an automatic.

I was lucky and found mine with all the options and color hidden in the back of the dealership. It was dirty and hadn't even been cleaned up for sale yet. That was after going to Three other dealerships. It's difficult but I think if you look around you may get lucky. Good Luck!

Here's how my deal went down. Had BO / CL coupe on order with 5A/T back in December. ETA May. Went to visit the dealer one weekday night in february to check on progress and see what inventory they had. There on the showroom floor was a gorgeous DP / WL, 6mt, Coupe, Aero, 18" Brembos.....it was perfect. I made my decision on the spot. Picked it up next day. Again, seems like someone ordered it and backed out.

I am really enjoying driving a stick again although it's been years (1964 Pontiac GTO) since my last manual...although that manual tranny was not in my original plans.....when I saw that coupe on the showroom floor, it was.

 

My 6MT was on order for 4 months. The dealership has yet to have one in stock. Their allotment continues to be sold before delivery.
