Winter Weather Peformance

Hello,

I am in the hunt for a new car when I return to Boston this September. I have been looking online and narrowed my search a bit. The G35 coupe is in the lead right now but I am curious as to if any was driven this car in the snow and the results. If I buy the G35 I would buy a set of winter tires for it and was hoping this + traction control would be enough to deal with the winter season in Boston. Any comments/suggestions?? Thanks!

Re: Winter Weather Peformance

I can tell you for sure, DO NOT DRIVE IN THE SNOW WITH THE 18" Michelin Pilots!

They are summer rated tires, and will not offer any traction or saftey in winter conditions.....

Buy a good set of Winter Snow tires, with 17" rims, and you should be okay......I plan to invest in a set in the next month or so.......Last year when I took delivery of my Coupe, the tires were already sold out at every place I attempted to buy them.....

I'm sure if you use caution, and a little common sense, you should be able to get around in Boston with a Coupe.......I know there are a few members that live up in Canada, and they get around fairly well.........lots of luck with your choice....

Re: Winter Weather Peformance

I can't speak to Boston, but my coupe with snow tires worked just fine in Northern Virginia this past winter.
