Re: stock whp

I believe it's anywhere between 225hp - 235hp.
most people are around 229 - 230 thou.

Re: stock whp

If the info from q45tech is correct, there can also be about a 2 hp variance + or - per cylinder. Therefore, if the drivetrain loss is around 17-18% for you could have anywhere from ~219 to 243 at the wheels straight from the factory.

Re: stock whp

I think it has to do with that... when you drive it hard in the first stages of the car, you use the roughness of the cylinders to make the seals more "fitting". It's very logical, but indeed controversial. When I get my G, the pedal is gonna see nothing but the floor!! Haha... well maybe not the floor but close enough. =P

Re: stock whp

If some one got over 250 whp , I would have to see 1,2,or 3 other dyno's on the same day , same type of car , dyno at 230whp , before I would say that car was a freak . You can make dyno's say just about any thing the operator wants it to .

Couldnt afford it when young...gonna play when Im old

Re: stock whp

srry cant edit so i had to type it again.

Yea that was my friend Rob who got 257 rwhp on the dyno he was very surprised.
He did 3 runs all of them were over 250 hp. only had Z tube, and intake, but he drives his car very hard i dont know if that was a factor or not .......

They did about 20 cars there and all of them were about 230 and 240 range (even with mods) so i dont see why would they chose rob's car to make dyno show those numbers?
