new to Gs but not mods
Ok I recentley purchased a 05 G35 AT (ahhh) rather had the 6 speed but O well . Anyway I had a Bmw 330i modded like crazy and I want to do some mods to the G but im in a delima. I have about a $1500 spend limit for the time being and dont know if I should do exhaust and intake first or rims ?? I dont even know where you buy mods for these cars except for everythingG35.com . Where do you buy the LED strips for the headlights? and where can I find black grills ? newb questions i know but any help would be great !!
Paint your grill black but leave the emblem. LED strips for the headlights has to be either custom or you have to go buy them somewhere, it requires you to open up the headlight. I would just got a LED-bulb in there though and see how you like it. With $1500 I would get the HKS exhaust personally.
do what suits you best..some like just show, some like go and handling. consider what you want out of this car and do it. Most info can be found with search and stickys: above ^^^. Since you have auto IMO get rims first...
I think he could do the $1500 for rims and tires if he did some really good searching, I'm pretty pumped I'll have my 20's staggered by Monday and I payed $2100 but I know the guy who hooked me up haha
+1 agreed
Get a set of quality wheels and tires. I say get mrev2

I would look in the marketplace every second here, and my350z for used stufff. U can buy a hks used for 8-900. Then u can get a plenum spacer, and ztube. Not a mrev2 cuz he is a non rev up. Paint your grill black, get clear corners. I have bough everything used on this site and cant complain, i got the exhaust for 900, then crawford hfc's for 250. You can save tons of money buying from the market place.
if you have an auto i wouldnt bother w/ engine mods, but thats just me. Just go for looks/ and maybe sound (exhaust) Id say get tint, clear corners, swap the lights with LED's, and throw in some 6000k's. that should be a good start.
Got a few questions for you:
1. What year was the 330?
2. Why did you decide to sell it for a G?
3. How would you say the G compares top the 330?

Im not saying that you shouldnt mod an auto, but if you where trying to get alot of power out of your car you should have got a 6mt to start w/. But theres is absolutely nothing wrong with making an auto faster as i did that to my auto Maxima before i had the G. I just meant that i would prob concentrate on looks before engine if i had an auto.
