Seat Adjustment button behind seat not working?

So I bought my g35(05 IP sport) used about a year ago.. Today I was cleaning the interior and I never noticed there was a black button behind the seat just below the tab you lift. Problem is.. it doesnt work. What is this button???? Logic to me says this button moves the seat forward... But it doesnt. i bought the car without a manual and I googled it and found nothing.. search here and found nothing..

Any input? broken? My car was in ACC mode and i tried it(cause I was cleaning and listening to music) tried ON, started the car and tried again... Nothing..

was this an option that maybe wasnt added?

Did you flip the seat forward first? Also try it with the key out. It's to move the seat forward to ease entry/exit, but maybe it only works when the key is out of the ignition.

Also has to be in Park for Auto, or parking brake on for Manual.

WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!

it worked. without a key in the ignition. Wow.. that doesnt make any sense at all ahah.. not to me anyway. The only reason I can think of for this scenario would be safety... but you have to flip it forward before the button works anyway. Baffled right now.. oh well THX for the input and I learned a cool new thing today. TWO if you count the post about holding down the unlock on the fob. I don't know why you would want to do that though

Actually it might work with key in the ignition. The are some restrictions like I mentioned (Park for Auto, Parking brake on), see attached. Also the door can't be closed. The window roll down feature works great for airing out the car on a hot day.

geez this might be the best thing discovered yet!

I had all the doors(windy outside = negates my cleaning effort) closed so maybe that's why it wouldnt work.

No one is ever in the backseat ahah but for the 5 times a year that there is someone back there. i will for sure use this little button.

Thanks again bud.
