MOST fun driving EVER!
MOST fun driving EVER!
On the way home from downtown houston today... i was hung up and had to come home al ittle late. This made the hardy toll road EMPTY.... except for this yellow boxter that i see pretty often on teh way home when my dad is driving me. Today i was driving in my g and passed him at about 100mph (cruising speed) and he sped up from his 85-90mph and started getting on his car.... it was a middle aged 50 year old man (im 17) and so i just thot id show him that my jdm can fly a little faster than his 55k car from europe... so i got on it a little and went from 100-130 pretty quick and slowed down. HE FLEW up behind me and i knew it was on.... its about 30 miles from houston to my exit, and the toll road hardly ever has cops. I dropped a gear
and floored it. i pulled slowly on him and then we went into some big sweeping curves and this is where my car realllllly pulled away. I just put such huge distances between us everytime we would get into sweeping turns. When we would find traffic (there would be 2-3 miles with very few cars and one lane passable before running into two lanes of traffic) and when we would find it i was weaving in and out at 100mph + with him righ tbehind me. IT must have looked so sweet and i had so much fun. It was the first time ive REALLY gotten on my g above 100mph. I really liked the car from 100mph-145.... soooo fun. When i finally got off the highway he waved at me and gave me a big grin and i roleld down my window and threw him the duece..... i guess the older fellow also had a little fun

Re: MOST fun driving EVER!
hahahaha tru tru. I did do ONE really unsafe pass in an exit lane that was QUICKLY disapearing at 140mph and i felt kinda bad about that.... and the guy in the boxter didnt follow suit... i guess 50 year olds are prolly a little less dumb... afterwords i was just liek WOW that was BAD. HAHA

Man! That's gotta be one of the STUPIDEST things I've ever heard! You and this other ding-dong are weaving in and out of traffic at 100mph?!
Let's get one thing straight, I speed myself so this isn't a condemnation of speeding. What I find so ridiculous is the endangerment of other drivers. If you want to speed and end up killing yourself I personally don't have a problem with that (others might). I think people should be able to take themselves out of the gene pool as long as they don't take others with them - especially innocent bystanders.
Next time, maybe you should try to use a bit more common sense...

Re: MOST fun driving EVER!
I should know by now: You can't teach common sense!
Be that as it may... Wrecks usually happen when 2 or more drivers screw the pooch. We all have our weak moments.
As you know, when you're weaving through traffic at 100mph (s-t-u-p-i-d), it's usually someone in front of you that does something totally unexpected (s-t-u-p-i-d) that gets you both wrecked: Crunch time.
-Someone in front of you sees you coming up behind them at a high rate of speed, panics, and tries to get away from you at the last possible moment. Bang!
-Someone is momentarily distracted by a child and fails to check their mirrors before they change lanes. They never see you coming up behind them (especially if you pass them on the right). Bam!
Either way, you think the empty lane next to them is open for a pass, and then they abruptly slam that door shut. To avoid a collision, you must instantly decide whether you can slow down in time to avoid them, swerve into another lane, or accelerate on-through without trading paint. Oftentimes there isn't enough time/space available to correctly decide what to do and execute an effective evasive maneuver. You're just not trained to safely operate a motor vehicle at high speeds.
If you make it through, you're just d@mn lucky. Remember, most of the unfortunates who have won the Darwin Award probably thought "Watch this!" right before they qualified themselves for the trophy...

I don't see this thread going anywhere constructive-- in fact, most threads of this nature spiral down the loo faster than Taco Bell. So in the words of the great iLLG35,
