Another DG =)!

Hello Everyone,

I've been lurking around for forums for a few weeks now, trying to build some ideas on what I want to do to my coupe, but I feel as if I need some help.

First off I would like to say hello, and nice to meet everyone. My mother recently hit the lottery, and bought my sister and myself new cars, not brand new but newer! I decided to go with the Classy as well as sporty look of the G35 =). She's an 2005 DG, 5AT. I don't race so most of the mods I will be going for are strictly for appearance. I'm 18 years old and will be a Sophomore in college in Septemeber, so most of my summer job money will be invested into my car! I'm a waterfront director for my township and run the local lakes and what not so my job is pretty decent pay for a kid my age. I plan to invest somewhere between $4,000 in the mods this summer maybe a little more maybe a little less.

With that being said, I would like to ask for some opinions on what to do!
I have read many threads so far I have the mods in my head for

Tints - soon as I can get my prescription from my eye doctor (Damn NJ Laws)

Clear Corners - I see many members have them and they really look much cleaner then the stock amber.

Wheels - I need suggestions in this area please! I don't want to go to overboard with price so rims under 2k would be nice

OEM Front Lip - I like how this doesn't alter the look, it seems to keep it classy as well as add a nice appearance difference.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Drop is kinda out of the question especially because the area I live in, way way to many potholes. Once again nice to meet you all, glad to join the G35 family.

and heres my girl scarlett johannsson

Thanks for the welcome!

She hit for 75k on a scratch off, and got about 50 after taxes. Thanks for the info, I think I want at least 20% on fronts which is illegal here in NJ but I'm going to try and get my prescription for it. I'm liking the wheels, but I think I'm gonna try and stay either gunmetal or chrome.

Man you are lucky. Just take care of your baby even though you didn't work for it LOL. j/k. Seriously, this is a great forum and I have learned a lot using search as you will be told. Your questions aren't the usual "what are the best mods EVAR" questions so I think the flames should be low accept for the damn you got a car free WTF ??? Welcome to the forum and have fun modding. You can always keep your eye out for a set of OEM Rays on here. They are 19" and are stock on some of the Gs. I want a set and powder coat them gun metal. I have the 7 spoke 18" and you have the 6 spoke 17" it looks like. Don't forget to have the tire pressure sensors taken out of the old wheels and Infiniti will make sure they work with your new wheels if they don't already come with them. If they do use the 17" wheels as winter wheels because these cars are a large sleds if you don't have some kind of winter setup. Many of the performance tires on these cars can actually freeze solid depending on temp and that is of course bad news all around. The OEM lip looks sick and you can pick one up already painted for under 4 from everythingg35. Riverside Infiniti also sells them but you should get a reference from Erickclumsy and you might get a price cut. At least that is what he told me to do .

Thanks guys! I appreciate the welcomes! I'm def liking the OEM Sport 19"s wheres the best place to pick up a nice pair of them? I also am feeling these Volk GT-V's they are very very pricey, are they racing wheels?

I have a friend that is selling a set of OEM 19" coupe wheels off an 06 with Toyo tires in really good shape for $1800. That wouldn't include shipping, but if you're interested let me know. The wheels are the 5 split-spoke set up. Don't know what they are officially called. They are the staggered rims, larger in back and smaller in front.
