Seat rails on back order - what should I do?
Seat rails on back order - what should I do?
Recently, my driver's seat has begun rocking. This is after about 7000 miles. I called my local Infiniti service dept. (Tustin) and explained the problem. The advisor knew exactly what the problem is and ordered a new "bottom seat bracket" sight unseen.
A week later, I called him to see if the parts are in yet and I was told they are on "back order". He has no idea when they might come in. "Could be tomorrow or could be six months". He was unable to find the parts at any other local dealers.
What can I do? Am I supposed to live with this seat for the next six months!!! Would a call to Infiniti Consumer Affair help?
TIA,
Doug

Call Grubbs Infiniti. www.grubbs.com. I'm guessing their parts/service department will be of more help than yours.

I did call ICA and spoke to a nice lady who said they can help and try to locate the necessary parts.
I'm not holding my breath, but she did say they could look for the part nationwide. At least she didn't say I was SOL.
