seriously man, i know how you feel. you want a car and you want a sexy one with a lot of power. but dont trust everything the dealer says bcus the ad says it has a turbo and you are saying its a supercharger. so definetly get that checked out and please take it to a trusted mechanic to get things checked.

I would have to assume it doesnt have a stillen supercharger bc the stillen supercharger doesnt fit under the OEM hood. So its probably turboed if anything. And there is a HUGE difference in working on something first hand, and reading about it and then trying. Will this be your only car? If you intend on this being your toy, maybe consider getting a hoopty as a daily driver. Im a firm believer in a car is meant to be driven, but you do get a lot of small things, knicks, dings, rock chips, from a bunch of daily driving that can be EXTREMELY annoying on your pride and joy. Its just a thought. Either way, it sounds like a good deal.

Do you plan on getting a bodykit or anything like that? If so, paint damage from road wear could cost alot. And maintenance for my integra is ALOT cheaper than maintenance on my infiniti....haha plus I only paid 1600 for the integra. Ive spent more than that in body parts alone, thats not even including the paint work. So I consider it a protection of my investment. This way I wont have to get parts repainted every so often like some do. One guy I know has gotten his karuma front bumper repainted like 4 times. Another example, 4 tires for my integra=$300, 1 tire for my infiniti=$360(285/30/20). So for me, it is definitely worth having two vehicles and not going through tires and paint work and better mpg. But like you said, to each their own

doesnt look too bad at all...but did anyone notice how the drivers side exhaust tip is hangin far out and down as opposed to the passenger side ???

and that it needs a new oil pan and rack and pinion proves the point it was driven pretty hard lol....but +1...id only get this if you have a nice stockpile of cash saved up in case turbo went up or engine blew....all of which are more "likely" not guaranteed when you FI a car....do u drive now? if so keep ur current car just dont insure and get rid of tags...so its not an "expense" then reinstate all those if something went wrong with G..."knocks on wood"

my .02

haha, have you ever drove a supercharged sports car in the winter?

hopefully you live somewhere that doesn't have snow because you'll be buying a new one first snow with a super charger.

it is WAY cheaper to have a second car. Double the gas mileage (double and then some in my case), cheaper to maintain (it costs 4 times as much to change the oil in my g then my hoopty accord), 1 tire on my g costs more than all 4 tires MOUNTED AND BALANCED on my accord....hmm....i pay 26$ a month for full insurance on my accord. it's just cheaper.

and to the original poster: you might know a lot about reading, but what are you going to do when you have no tools and no personal experience fixing super chargers? you can read all you want but you'll never just be able to do it like it's supposed to be done. I build race motors for streetbikes and MX bikes as a side job (mostly in the summers i travel with a race team). I have over 40k in tools and still find myself needing new tools to work on my G.

And this car has a supercharger, not turbo. If you look in the front picture you can see at the drivers side of the car where the intake goes where it is attaching to what looks like a ATI procharger to me. Vortech you would see the pulley's from that angle so i don't think it's a vortech. A turbo would have the intake running down and to the turbo by the exhaust and not attaching to something at hte front of the motor like that.
