04 G35 Coupe with 75K Miles

Hi,
Firstly I would like to say Hi to everybody as I am new to this forum. I recently bought a used 04 G35 coupe with 75K miles for $12000. Is that a good price or did I pay over? Is 75K a lot of miles on the car? Also with 75K miles what maintenance should be done on the car?

I am kinda scared as the day I bought the car, the driver side window failed .I paid $400 dollars just to get the motor replaced. Also I have read through the forums about the oil leaks

THE CAR FAX ON THE CAR WAS CLEAN. NO ACCIDENTS AND SALVAGE HOWEVER ON THE CAR FAX THERE WERE NO MAINTENANCE RECORDS IF IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER EVER IN THE PAST

thanks

To be safe just change the air filter, in cabin filter, rear diff fluid, tranny fluid, coolant flush. That is basically a 60k service... so I would do that to be sure. That will cost you $200-300 max to do it at an independent shop.

The plugs are good till 100k miles so your ok with that.

IF the tires and brake pads/rotors are ok. Then you did ok for the price if the body is in good shape, and everything works as its suppose to.

On a 1-10 -- 1 being a horrible deal, 10 being a steal yours is a 6.5 to 7 if the above things are in good shape.

PS. your 04 won't leak any oil, that is some problems on the rev up motor that is revised for 05 and 06.

The front tires are brand new. The rear would last for another six months. According to the seller, the rotors were replaced. The car is clean out and it has no dents.
Since it was a lady driver car, it doesnt look as if the car was abused.

The only advice I could give you that might be costly is this. If you do not have any service records on the car, and don't know for sure if the Trans fluid was ever changed or when....... I would NOT CHANGE IT. You can do numerous searches on changing transmission fluid on a car with higher mileage that has never been serviced to see why. Neglected trans fluid can build up varnish and other contaminents that when flushed can cause all hell to break lose with the transmission. It is not adviseable. Good luck with your car and by all means do every other suggested service. Good luck, and enjoy.
