I am about to replace my battery, i have no owners manual thus no owners code. (bought car used one month ago) Before I get ahead of myself does the stereo have to be reset/ recoded after battery change or no? If so how do I get one without original info?

Im not sure about that? Ehat year is it? The newer years might but I have 04 and I changed my battery and im fine.

If someone was able to steal our head unit easily they shouldn't need a code, removing it is a feat in itself.

 

go to a dealer, they'll probably give it to you free if you prove you're the owner.
