I agree with you about rising car prices. I bought my car in March from a small, independent dealer in Austin, Tx. and paid a little over $15,000 with 46,000 miles. They have a similar car on their lot right now for $17,995.

Glad I bought it when I did.

 

When buying from a dealer, a lot depends on the dealer's inventory level. If that is the only G35 he has, he may not be ready to deal. Also, if the dealers typical buyer is also going to finance through him, price is not usually an issue, it is how much monthly payment will get the buyer into the car.

Private party is the way to go.
