A friend has a BMW X 5 and he has asked me to race with him. I have a 6 MT stock and was wondering if I have a chance. Another friend with BMW 318 wants to show me how mighty BMW is and has proposed a race.
A lot of people have difficilty accepting the fact that G 35 beats the hell out of a lot of BMW and Mercedes models.

I have a 1995 BMW 318is and it does 0-60 in about 10 minutes. However it doesn't, nor did it ever, have one single rattle, squeak, vibration or funny noise and it's shift quality and handling properties are absolutely superb.

True. Some German stuff is awesome, some is a little bit of a let down. I am dating a girl that has a TT. Less than a year old its been in the shop 4 times. But she loves to drive it... when it's running.

I also got dusted by an E55 Amg on the highway today LOL... It was my friend's father's He's got an E55 and S55 amg, they are both BEASTS but the S feels like my car compared to the e55 and my car feels like a honda compared tot he s55, they are beasts . Anyway 318 and a X5 even 4.6 you will beat the 318 without trying, the X5 4.6 or 8 will take good driving skills from you. Race him, you'll be surprised of this cars true potential. Martin

Thank you guys. I will give it a try and see what happens. I had my first race yesterday against a Camaro. I passed him with 85 miles and he got upset and pulled hard. He went ahead of me and I shifted down to 5th gear and blew him away with 130 miles. It was fantastic. I was on the 134 E towards Pasadena.
We are blessed to own such a car.

If it was an LS1 camaro he wasnt even trying. Hell, even LT1s will walk on us at that kinda speed. You must have been racing a 6 banger or a Z28 that didnt care enough to open his car up.

yeah i raced a camaro SS wiith some mods with my 02 m3 the other day from about 70 to very high speeds and he pulled me most of the time but i had 3 friends in the car and he was my himself. Those cars are no joke in a straight line.
