That's so true most members here wouldn't know rice if it was in their cereal bowl! Second most common comment....drop/slam it because they have nothing else to say....sure gets "Old!" Nice, inexpensive plate mount.

...Ricey? I think it looks good. Kind of like guys mounting the plates sideways on their bikes. Gives it a slightly exotic look

If the cops in my area ever get **** and start giving me tickets I'll do it.

won't it work if instead of taking out the front plate completely, you could put it on your dashboard showing through the front windshield? is that still illegal?

Yup, still illegal. The po po call it "improperly displayed" and you get a ticket.

I like the way the tag looks in the middle more than to the side. But to each his own.

What if the bumper already has pre-drilled holes, is there a way to cover it? Caps maybe?

I was in downtown portland today and saw a bad-*** C6 vette with the front plate painted onto the front bumper on the lower passenger side... Looked pretty sick.

Don't know if its legal or not tho

Im curious about the legality of this as well. I was at a local graphics design shop talking about the retarded-ness of front plates, and they came up with an interesting idea. And that was, to take reflective white vinyl (like whats on the sides of cop cars and stop signs and the like) and actually copy and print the rear plate in this material and stick it on the front. Or, to just print out the appropriate numbers/letters in the reflective vinyl and stick it on the front.

Thoughts?

That could be what it was. I'll definitely be on the look out for it again to get some pictures! I don't know why it wouldn't be legal.. it looked just like a license plate... but the cops do live in their own little world LOL
