Cool Picking up an 03 coupe - questions *mods will come*

Having previously sold my last 03 6mt due to its rebuilt title and not wanting to deal with issues im most likely grabbing another one next week. As owners and being more knowledgable on the cars, what should i look for before purchasing? i have one that im looking at so im kinda trying to figure out what i should look for when i fly across the country. any tips or info will be appreciated guys

I have a set of 20" Volks and 20" HREs sitting in the garage ready to throw on. need info on a good drop, most likely coilovers...

If you have the money for coilovers then I would say go for them. I've always like Tein, but then again that's the only brand I've ever used. A friend of mine is selling a set of Espelir springs for cheap so I'm probably going then less expensive route with springs + new shocks. Like I said, whatever you can afford.

Someone correct me if Im wrong, but I believe the 06V394000 recall applies to that year as well as the ITB08-002. I would get verification on both of those. Pretty sure both can be verified using the VIN of the vehicle.

Oh and here, I'll spoon feed ya a bit...

the hood should open very smoothly with no resistance. if there is, new hood hinges are needed.

radio/CD unit loves to fail. all controls, including HVAC, will be frozen.

compression rods. you will hear a creak over bumps. a nightmare to try and DIY. sometimes you get lucky, and they practically jump out. you're better off letting a pro do this.
