KPtechnologies - RFID KEYLESS ENTRY - IG50

Hey, I was wondering if i can order this and be part of testing. I'm willing to get get rid of the steering lock. Is it also possible to put extra security in so when the key is NOT detected, it will disable the Drive-By-wire Throttle control?

I went to www.kptechnologies.com to buy it but only the standard push button start was there.

The other threads talk about this as well, but i want this thread to be strictly about this product (IG50) RFID keyless start.

Ways to improve it as well as the disadvantages of the system.

I hope you don't mind KPierson, I'm so into this product of yours and willing to invest in it asap!

Testing is moving on and we haven't uncovered any issues yet. We still have a few units left to test so if you are intersted shoot me an Email over at my KPtech account.

On a side note, I would highly recomend AGAINST doing anything with the drive by wire. It will only cause you problems in the long run and actually won't stop someone from driving the car. You would be better off doing an ignition cut or a fuel cut if you feel added security is required.

Sorry to go off topic, but what's the scoop on your variable tint?

hey, i actually wrote a page long post and deleted it as i've been telling everyone lately that i will post a video over and over again but never had a chance to do it... so tonight, i will try my best to have it done or definitely by tomorrow

i'm having my tint buddy cut out the shapes for the windows so i can send it in for a template... (this is way easier then autocadin' the window dimensions which i dunno who seems to have.. i don't want to take out my windows just to have them measured)

so in about a month or less, i will have them on the car. with Kevin's module (updated one with range), i will have the tints go clear when i'm in proximity of the RFID reader.

the ting is a 2mm thick sheet that can turn completly opaque when there is no power (car is off) and when there is power (car on / acc / ac) it will turn about 95% clear...

I haven't started a thread on this because its a special project i've been working on for a whileeeeee and when its done.. we can do a group buy.. for an entire car (everything but the windshield) its around 2000$ USD ...

videos coming soon...

Nice. When I first read variable tint, I was thinking... Away from car, windows with tint up. Near Car, windows with tint down. Variable Tinting in my head. hahaha
