1) New SLK 350 is not a "chick" car. Look at the pictures.
2) There is no 230 model. The 3.5L V6 DOHC is a new one for Mercedes, and it has a 6speed available.
3) Should weigh as much as a 350Z even though it is convertible HARD TOP.

lol yea. Didn't notice that. Get rid of that junk and you guys could get an M3 and an SLK 350. That would be some FINE iron.

Another great deal right now are '04 Corvettes. They are being blown out to make room for the all new '05 model.
I recently saw a new '04 Z06 advertised for around $12K off of sticker between factory rebates and dealer discounts. This would put it in the low $40's. This is close to G territory.
If I was in the market for a sports car today, I would get an '04 Vette. These other cars can't touch the Z06 in performance.

I heard that the new SLKs should be about $2.5 K more than the old generation, so it'll be $15 K more for the SLK350 than the G35c. Can't really compare considering that price gap. If you can afford it, I'd get it over the G35c.
It's a pretty slick looking car w/ excellent performance (every test review I've read says it's very close to the Z4 3.0i in handling). The interior is also pretty nice.

The new '05 SLK is not a chick car. Its already out in Hong Kong and when I was down there last month I was up close and personal with it and I wouldnt hesitate trading my G35c straight up for it. Dont get me wrong, I love my G but the styling and fit of the new SLK was incredible. There is no comparision to the old models as its totally revamped in and out. Im about 5'11 and I had no trouble getting in and out of the sweet seats. The interior was top notch and if you think the pictures look nice, its even nicer in person. I was not able to see the AMG version but I have seen pictures of it and if it looks that much better than the model that I saw, that would be a sick ride. Hopefully I can get my mom to buy one as she was quite impressed with it and likes small convertibles, then I can trade her with my G every once and a while, haha...
