1. Don't black out anything
2. Sell it, take the money you saved to buy a manual
3. What the **** is an "auto enthusiast"?
4. Don't be so excited about everything cause your ****'s gonna break
5. Driving fast cars is not fun, it's very serious.
6. Always use caution when traveling public motorways.
P.S.
Never install a rear facing child seat.
Cheers.

I thought FI meant forced induction? Correct me if I am wrong...I am still a newblet. BTW, JoeDirt you may want to get the VIN number and call a local dealer, see what information they have on the car like whether it has been serviced for anything other than routine maintenance; if your still under basic which i think your just over it because you have 40,000 you could have taken it there, complained a bit about common issues like window motors and axle clicks and they would fix it. But I would still recommend calling them; get to know your local stealership, they might help you out when you need it...mine did.
soem1 ban this fool supracrazy all he does is talk talk and on another topic some guy said he bought a turbo from this fool and it was broken but he states that it was fully functioning. Not sure but this guy should be punished severely for that kind of trickery.
Its cause more and more people can afford it since the g35 is older now and more affordable
as far as the full blackout and all... like radiohead says: "whatever makes you happy." personally i dont like it. and yeah, everyone knows 6MTs are more engaging than slushboxes, but for some people its just not practical.
and to answer the OPs question about why the factory doesnt install "better" aftermarket parts and save everyone the trouble of modifying...
all the parts on the car come from the factory because nissan is a manufacturing company, not a tuning shop. there are upgrades because aftermarket companies do the research and fabrication to address very specific market demands. not everyone wants a louder exhaust, or forced induction in their cars. hell, even ferraris have aftermarket tuners. dont you think the stuff that comes out of their factory is pretty good? it is, but there will always be a way to make it just a little bit faster, or corner better, or stop quicker. if the G35 came with all the "best" aftermarket parts as standard equipment, the costs to the factory and consumer would be exorbitant.
and finally... modification is what lets the individual owner express him/herself and upgrade / tune only the area that he deems necessary. some people want performance, some are more into aesthetics, and some people want sick ICE setups. its half the fun of the onwership experience!
seriously didnt think that this needed to be explained, but i guess i was wrong.

semperfly great post, that makes alot of sense. The factorys are designed to produce cars in the most timely and cost efficient way possible whereas with the tuner companys and shops you are paying for the time research and craftsmanship put into it, very tru. (lightbulb moment)
