increase in G fun?!?

I just recently bought a black 2005 g35 coupe automatic with 41,000 mi. on it. I plan to blackout the entire thing (tints,lights,rims,etc..) to up the aesthetics. Im not much of an auto enthusiast so im not very knowledgable in mods, i just know driving fast cars is fun I was hopeing to get some suggestions for some basic mods to start out with to increase performance. I can afford to spend a little extra cuz i got the car for 17,590!!!

1. Don't black out anything
2. Sell it, take the money you saved to buy a manual
3. What the **** is an "auto enthusiast"?
4. Don't be so excited about everything cause your ****'s gonna break
5. Driving fast cars is not fun, it's very serious.
6. Always use caution when traveling public motorways.

P.S.
Never install a rear facing child seat.

Cheers.

A grounding kit will help with lag times and make driving in general a lot more fun.

Here is a list of items you can do a search on that are popular upgrades for power. Another way is to go to the marketplace and look at what vendors carry, they usually carry popular items.
-Plenum Spacer (motordyne)
-MREV2 (motordyne)
-Popcharger (jim wolf technology), prolly one of the more popular one
-HFC, High Flow Cats (stillen, berks, fast intentions)
-TP, Test Pipes (invidia, stillen, fast intentions)
-Exhaust (HKS, Greddy, motordyne)
-Valve Body Upgrade for automatic cars (stillen, gtm)

Good luck

Thanks gabe3d ill research the items and see what i can put together, afterall research is the key to knowledge, any other suggestions on how to spend roughly 2,000 on increasing my G's performance would be greatly appreciated, also dumb question but if after market parts make the car so much better why dont the car makers just add these parts stock???

I would do this
-Plenum Spacer (motordyne) $200
-TP, Test Pipes (invidia, stillen, fast intentions) $200
-Popcharger with 350z tube (bigger intake tube compared to G35) $160

I don't have any experience with the AT G35 but from what I see all over the forum, the following three makes the shifting much better
-Valve Body Upgrade for automatic cars (stillen, gtm) $700
-8 pts Grounding Kit (SxExCx) $150
-ECU reset $FREE

But after all, these are just some hints to point you to the right direction to make your search easier. I think once you get your own research you'll probably come up with a new list. I'm sure you can find the items in the list above cheaper, but they are there for your reference. Take a look at the Used Marketplace, some great deals there. Oh yeah, welcome to the board.

supracrazy, i understand that u are passionate about manuels however in my case it seems impractical because i dont plan to race my G, i dont know how to drive stick, and my right hand is usually busy maneuvering my girls head I just want to get the most out of my automatic, and who doesnt love being able to go a little faster! ,,,Again if anyone has an answer to why the car companys dont add the better parts stock id love to hear it, it would make things alot easier lol My general inferance is that because the mods increase speed they decrease gas mileage makeing it less apealing to the common consumer.

What the **** is wrong with you ***got? I DON'T HAVE AN AUTO I WAS MAKING A SUGGESTION. And yes, it does work for auto transmissions if you get a quality one. Get off your high horse and actually help someone out, because right now you are doing absolutely nothing. Sure, you can suggest that a manual is better and then offer some advice on upgrades he can do to his car if he does not consider your suggestion, but don't just come into a thread and say BUY A MANUAL !!!@@#!!!!!!!! ITS THE BEST THING EVAR YOUR CAR SUCKS!@#@!!!!!

Now you should either contribute, or shut the fuck up.

Because the would make the car more expensive and in some cases, less reliable. Example: The 03-04 6MT G35s had Brembo brakes, which were scrapped due to premature wear and it was simply too expensive to continue doing.

I love how mad people get on these forums... The guy was just asking for some suggestions.

Yes, I'm an adovcate for the 6MT, but some would prefer not to deal with it and go Auto. You can search this because there are plenty of suggestions, but based on my knowledge I would say MD Plenum Spacer, Mrev2, JWT Pop Charger/Z-Tube Combo, Grounding Kit, HFC's, Exhaust... Then drop her and throw on some nice wheels.
