Buying a 2003
First off i might as well say im new to the g35. I recently sold my BMW and going for a g35 coupe.
The car i was looking into is a 2003. I want to know if there is anything that i should be cautious of. I am going to get it inspected and everything buy the dealer, but i just want to know what you all think i should look for specifically.
Thanks!

I just bought an 03 coupe in February, nothing to worry about as long as you know what you're looking for.
Here is a list of things I checked before I bought it:
- Carfax & Ownership information
- Suspension/Steering components (I found a leaking steering rack, ripped ball joint and a threaded stabilizer link)
- Exhaust (I found my flex pipes were f**ked, also a leak in the muffler)
- Motor/tranny (I found that my drive belts were starting to crack, chattering while clutch is depressed turned out to be a throwout bearing)
- Electronics (Window motors, cd player, auto sliding seats, burnt out side marker lights)
- BODY! (My paint was **** to start but i found, upper windshield molding torn, driver-side window molding not sealing properly)
I got most of the stuff fixed by the dealer, but the small cheap stuff that I didn't care about I took care of myself. Also check tires and brakes and your e-brake.
I'm not sure if I covered everything since this was my first time buying a car from a dealer (where as my first car I bought off my dad). So if anyone else can chime in with extra things to look at, I think you should be fine.

sounds pretty good so far, although most of the problems i have read about are from the 03's since it was the release year model they still had lots of stuff to learn for subsequent years. I got my 03 through a private party, garage kept and basically just driven to and from work since they bought it. Everything is stock, but when I took it to infiniti today to have them take care of some aesthetic stuff for me, they said whoever had done the 60k service used 5 groove belts instead of 7, which i don't really know makes a huge difference. It will all depend on the car itself, every one is gonna have something different aside from the obvious similarities. I got mine for 13k if you were wondering about prices too.
