I'm looking into buying at 05 Coupe Manual... i was wondering if there is any issues with the 05's aside from the oil pooling issue. Im contimplating wether i should buy in Cali or Las Vegas for tax purposes. I've seen alot range from 20K-23K with fairly decent miles. Do these cars have a certain mileage where they really start to have problems or is it just luck of the draw???

 

It's mainly luck of the draw. Some people say it's due to miles, others say due to a certain VIN number range (IE: result of an error in supplies/production).

By the way, choose to buy the car with the best value in the state with the HIGHER sales tax (California). Because if you choose otherwise, you will either A) Have to pay the difference, or B) banned from driving in California. I know this because I've done it before.
