I understand the emphasis on quality, but with something like an exhaust, I fail to see the importance.

To me, if it sounds good, fits good, welds are good and it's stainless steel then I don't see the problem with going with a lower priced alternative/knock off.

Someone enlighten me, if I'm missing something here.

 

Everything you just listed is indicative of the quality of an exhaust, so I'm not sure why you can't see the importance of it.

I know nothing of that particular HKS knock off, but if it's as good as you claim, then go for it. I still believe you get what you pay for, especially in the shady aftermarket industry where any idiot with a couple bucks and an idea can make a product, but it seems like you have your mind made up already so buy it, hope for the best, and enjoy.

 

IMHO, the only exhaust that delivers on what you pay for is Hydrazine's exhaust products. All the others are priced because of name or is built to a high quality but not dyno'd to the same degree. Who pays that much for the HKS and thinks the H pipe they put in is appropiate?
