Need Opinion on cat back exhaust. My recent exhaust took a crap, since its hanging from the car just slightly and has a big dent on one of the pipes on the bottom. the car is making a very loud noise. Therefore i dont know whether to try and fix the exhaust or just buy another one, like a cat back exhaust. I was looking at this one on Ebay and want any opinions on how this one is and if its a good buy and recommended.

I just had this exhaust put on last Friday. It's amazing quality. Paid $343.00 shipped. Alot of people will swear up and down on HKS, this is a damn good clone+you'll have money left over. I'd do it again.

 

Deezbluballz- do you have any experience with other exhausts and how does it compare?

 

Please don't put this exhaust on your car. You will regret it 6 months down the road when the thing has rusted out. Spend a little bit more and buy a used brand name exhaust system from the marketplace. Just my .02

I work at a stereo shop and sell aftermarket parts as well. I've sold Magnaflow, Borla, Injen,HKS, apexi,....No Greddy though. They are expensive as ****! the quality in this $343.00 exhaust is that of the ones I mentioned above. people will hate! They also paid a lot more for their ""premium"" exhaust. It's ultimetly up to you. Buy the one I have, then buy an intake spacer, and Injen CAI like i did. Lets see that happen $$$wise with those namebrand ones.

 

That's a knock off exhaust. Some people think it's awesome and claim they can't tell the difference, other people have had theirs rust or not fit right. It really depends who you ask, or maybe the luck of the draw.

Bottom line, do you want to put something 2nd rate on your car? If you're okay with that and don't have a discerning eye for quality, then go for it.

 

I live in southern California and rarely drive the G in the rain or snow nor see it. How would this rust on me?

 

1) it shouldn't rust...it's stainless steel
2) I've sold plenty of other cat backs....so it's an equal to me, I would KNOW!
3) Mine fits 100% Midas didn't have to mod a thing. Clears everything and lines up straight.I must be a lucky one then (lol)!

I'm not on here trying to sell more of "the cheap a**" exhaust I'm not. Too each his own. But for the money spent I was able to do a spacer, CAI, and cat-back.....you do the math. Quality is there....many will hate!!

 

If I were in a position to have to buy an exhaust, I'd go Motordyne and buy the XYZ pipe and cat back. Expensive? yes. But looks and proven power? You bet.

 

Save your pennies, so not worth it. I can not state enough that it's not a cheap car, please don't put cheap parts on it. Save your $$$ and search the marketplace here. You'd be surprised what you can find there if you spend enough time searching.

 

I wonder how much it ACTUALLY cost to make one of these baller exhausts whether it be HKS, Amuse, FI, Motordyne, etc...hmmm....

 

dude don't get your panties in a bunch! the guy wanted suggestions so we gave him suggestions we aren't pointing a gun to his head and telling him spend a fortune on his exhaust... its just our 2 cents thats all....
