'05 coming up on 30k, what is needed?

I've had my '05 coupe(5AT) since Sept of '05 and I'm sitting at 29.5k miles almost all city driving. Aside from having the oil and filters changed what should I have checked or replaced?

I have an 04' that has recently hit 23,000 miles. I had to get a coolant flush, so make sure you check your coolant levels.

Check your brake pads and rotors, if you haven't changed them. I have recently had these removed a few days ago and I could not believe how worn down the old pads were.

Tires might need to be replaced soon also, I'm at 23K and already have to get my rear tires replaced soon.

Here's what Infiniti recommends:

Replace engine oil and filter
Replace in-cabin microfilter
Lubricate all locks/hinges
Road test vehicle
Replace automatic transmission fluid
Replace climate-controlled seat filters (M45/M35/Q45, if so equipped)
Replace differential oil
Replace engine air filter
Replace engine coolant/flush system
Replace engine drive belts
Replace manual transmission oil
Replace radiator cap
Replace radiator hoses
Replace spark plugs
Replace transfer case oil (4WD/AWD)
Replace wiper blades
Rotate tires (except G35 Coupe, Sport)
Optional: flush automatic transmission (flush with ATF)

IMO...aside from oil and filters, do the tranny and coolant flush, check and replace drive belts if needed, and lube up. Stay away from Infiniti dealers. Independent mechanics can do a 30k service for $200 +/- (including some Nissan dealers).

Yes when I got a coolant flush, the dude told me I will need a new radiator cap, which I had to replace.

I thought automatic fluid didn't need to be replaced until 45K?

Yeah I had heard wait till around 50k.

As for tires and pads I had those replaced back around 16.5k so maybe I'll get a few more k out of them.

Tranny fluid is dependent on what the current state is. You don't necessarily need to change it at 30k but then again if you go on to lets say 60k without a flush, it could do more harm than good by changing it. Dealers will always recommend the flush, independent will give you a better honest answer.

Replace radiator cap.. Really? I've never heard of any car, ever, having to replace that, let alone being a normal maintenance item.

If your transmission fluid looks good, and all visual inspections (brakes, belts, hoses, etc) pass, I would change the engine oil, stamp your maintenance book, and call it a day.
