Clicking sound from rear axel repaired - but suspension now softer?!
I've been reading the forums and, thanks to you guys, I was able to identify the clicking sound I always wondered about from the rear. I thought, maybe that's how it's supposed to be (locking rear diff or something), but that didn't make sense. After reading some of the info on here, I knew something was wrong.
Anyway, so I took the car into the dealership since I bought the extended warranty. I mentioned some of the info I learned about from this forum (TSB, rear axle, etc). I get a call at work and they tell me that the repair is going to cost me $230. I'm like, are you guys f'ing with me, what the hell did I buy a warranty for?! So I discuss the situation and they guy says he will contact the factory to see if they will cover it.
The dealer calls me back and says the factory will cover the repair, but they need to overnight the parts, so I say that's fine (since they gave an EX35 as a loaner car - very small, but pretty fancy, probably overpriced).
Finally I get the car back today, just in time for my drive to Chicago, but as I'm driving it home, I notice that the suspension is not as stiff as it used to be, particularly on the left (driver) side.
Anyone have any idea what the deal is? I'll take it back to the dealer after my trip, but I'm just wondering why the suspension would be different. Here's a list of the repairs from the recipt:
Parts - Bolt 39606-22P0A ASR 12 units
Parts - Nut 39607-03P0A ASR 12 units
Parts - Washer - Spring 08915-2401A ASR 12 units
Expenses - VOR/CSC Handling-600
I'm guessing it has something to do with this VOR/CSC Handling 600. Not sure what this thing is.
Appreicate any help - thanks

this is definitely just in your head.
those parts are the nuts/bolts/washers to hold the rear axles onto the rear diff. and only grease is used to make the click stop.
suspension softer after this is performed? impossible.

I have the same problem and I just got back from the dealership and they rejected my claim. My 4/60k warranty just expired 2 months ago, but I read on the forum that it should be cover by the powertrain. Long story short, they wanted $400 for that 12 nut/bolt/washer replacement!!!!!
